Prepositional contractions are when certain prepositions combine with other words usually for the purposes of maintaining a flowing sound to the language.

In this lesson you will learn the contractions the word de (from, of) forms with the definite articles o, a, os and as (the); the indefinite articles um, uma, uns, umas (a); and the demonstratives este, esta (this), estes, estas (these), esse, essa (that), esses, and essas (those).
