Indirect objects are the nouns in a phrase for whom or to whom the action of the verb happens. In the sentence “I brought him it” the indirect object is “him”. “It” is the direct object and “I” is the subject.
In Italian, the indirect object pronouns are nearly identical to those of the direct object with a few exceptions:
gli replaces lo
le/Le replaces la/La
loro replaces li/Le and le/Le
